Given the growing concerns around COVID-19 and its global spreading, it is with deep regret that the board of the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg (FJSL) has taken the decision to cancel the international science event Expo-Sciences Luxembourg, scheduled to take place in Luxembourg from March 26th – 30th 2020.

“This was a tough call to make – the Expo-Sciences Luxembourg is an incredibly important event for the FJSL and it’s one of our favourite ways to celebrate the interculturality of science with partners from all over the world – but we need to prioritize the health and safety of all participating parties. The well-being of all young scientists is our primary concern, leaving us with no other option than to cancel the Expo-Sciences Luxembourg.”, so the president of the FJSL, Carlo Hansen.

The board of the FJSL does however emphasise that this decision does not affect the national Jonk Fuerscher competition, which will be held as previously announced on March 28th and 29th 2020 at the Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen.

We deeply regret not being able to welcome our guests on the scheduled dates and look forward to seeing our global community of young scientists at the Expo-Sciences Luxembourg 2021!
