The Shelter Research Unit is recruiting

The Shelter Research Unit is an initiative of the Benelux Red Cross Societies, the Turkish Red Crescent and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Crescent Societies.

Support Officer – IFRC (M/F)

at 40h/week in Bertrange (Luxembourg) on the basis of a permanent contract (ref: AN2001-01015)

Missions :

 The IFRC-Shelter Research Unit is currently composed of a Head of Unit supported by a full time Support Officer (SO), and two Research Officers. The SO is under the management and supervision of the HoU. While English is the official working language of the Unit, the SO is required to be fluent in French too, as s/he needs to interface with various services of the Luxembourg Red Cross, such as Finance and HR.

Draft budget proposalsWrite the requested financial reportsEnsure financial, administrative and logistic support (Standardise procedures, e-mailing, keep team calendars and time sheets updated, organisation of conferences and other events, etc.)Support the Head of Unit in drafting contracts as part of programme inception


Bac+5 diploma in Finances, Administration or similarA first professional experience in a similar job is an assetProven fluency in English and FrenchProfessional knowledge of MS OfficeKnowledge of the humanitarian sector and aid operations is an assetKnowledge of lay outing software packages is an asset
